About GrindrOS

GrindrOS is a community-driven operating system project focused on transparency, simplicity, and user freedom. We started in 2021 as a small group of developers who wanted to build a Linux distribution that does things differently — with every decision made in the open.

Our project prioritizes reproducible builds, clean documentation, and a welcoming contributor experience. We believe that an OS should be understandable, not just usable. Every component of GrindrOS is documented well enough that a motivated developer can understand and modify it.

GrindrOS is not backed by any corporation. We are funded entirely by community donations and volunteer contributions. This independence allows us to make decisions based solely on what’s best for our users and contributors.
